I notice on my post at the top it says

modifey delete quote
Was wondering how that works and why I don't see that on other members post except for the quote

 

Because the only person (other than administrators) who has permission to modify or delete your posts is you, the author.
If you type it out and post it, then find a spelling error, or want to change it around, click on the Modify Button, it will then take you to a screen where you can make changes.
Click on the delete button and you can delete that post.
