I have been trying to post replies to people but they do not seem to be posting. Is there some special trick I am missing or just really computer stupid

Looks like you are doing okay to me. Click on your username and then select find all posts by yousoobad. Several from today.

Post numbers only count in certain areas, we had some young kids here trying to run up their posts counts by posting nonsense, so we had to make some changes.
