I have a PC at home and a laptop. the home PC automatic logs in everytime i come to the site. on my laptop i have to login everytime, I went to the user cp page and the dot is filled for automatic login. am I doing something wrong here.

You may have a cookie problem. Are you behind a proxy server? Not sure why other than your cache settings etc. You might try and clear your cookies, then log back in and tell it to remember you. Also, make sure you're profile says you're surfing with cookies and not through links. You might be having session problems.
