Location for Classifieds

So when I look at the Classifieds, what does it use for my location to determine how far away something is? I was looking through the ads and I was seeing some odd distances. One location in DFW showed 24 miles away, College Station showed 36 miles and Kansas City was 139 miles. The DFW could possibly be correct, but the other two are off.

Wasn't sure if there was a place we entered our zip code, or if it was basing it on other criteria.

There are boxes for you to type in your zip code. See Below. Click on thumbnail for larger view.

Thanks Dennis. I'm not seeing that box on any of the classifieds. Each ad already has the distance listed. I was thinking that my zip code might have already been stored as a cookie, but the distances don't seem to be based on any single zip code.

The bottom two images show what I see. And based on the locations listed at the bottom of those two ads, the distances should be much further.

I had the same experience.
I was looking at an ad for something in North Carolina, and it showed the distance from me at ~120 miles.
Wash DC is 100 miles from Richmond.........NC is a long ways past that.

Not everyone has the Zip Code in their ads, and if that's the case, it'll show an incorrect distance. Since this feature was just installed, it'll take some time for the ads to cycle and become more accurate.

Got it, I was thinking if they didn't have the zip code it just showed "No Zip Code".

Thanks for the help Jack.
