Why is this site the only one thats picky about emisions items.Removal and mods)Lots of forums out there gas and diesel and its openly discussed.Just curious?

Jonah is a really intelligent and very cool dog.

 

Just seems somewhat controling in a unusal way.In fact anything that messes with the factory window sticker in way of emissions is illegal.Fuel boxes,differant exhaust,injector swaps,changing GEAR ratios.If a certain vehicle is BUILT from factory with 3.73s and 4.10s are installed technically it has been ALTERED from the build sheet of that vehicle and the emissions standards have been altered on that vehicle.I handled/sold a Dakota owner 4.10s and was later informed by dealer owner that that was a NO NO! and subject to EPA penalty if by chance anyone in london fog coats and black hats were lurking and checking around.So being worried about discussing cats and egr's etc.is just the TIP of the iceberg! Any way its his forum,just seems a little gestabo tactics and not well informed of whats EPA legal and whats not.Not any other forum has ever mentioned the DO NOT DISCUSS.It would in essence kill the performance forum if followed to the letter.Not trying to start a long thread on this was just curious cause talking about cat.convertors is minor compared to turbo housing,injector,fuel boxes,gear ratios,straight piped exhaust,waiting 7500 miles to bring the NEW truck into Calif.and so on.

 

Is there a particular reason that you're capitalizing the word GERMAN? What is your underlying implication given the second post you made?

1. the forum is free
2. the rules are rules
3. if you don't follow the rules, then you go away
4. other sites are available if people don't like 1 through 3.

 

Dosen't matter if free or pay.I subscribe to both.Being thats its a FREE country I was curious to the emissions thing.Been on my mind for months and was hoping to get more then a cause I say so.Dosen't matter to me if its discussed or not but I do like to know educated reasoning behind a rule.Does the word GERMAN capitalized bother you?Guess I watch too many late night History channel documentaries.Censorship makes me nervous!(maybe it cause I'm half Jewish)
