Diffrent Truck section?

How hard would it be to add a Ford Powerstroke and Chevy/Gmc Duramax section? Just to see if you can get more traffic ?

We did that a while back and it didn't work so well but we have been seriously considering it again. However, instead of adding new sections to this very Dodge-Centric site, we are considering just putting up brand new forums for the other brands and branching them off completely seperate. I'm not sure how it would work yet, but I have been doing some research into it. I would like to have completely seperate forums but use the same member base. It's in the works

like possibly making the selection at the very top of the screen (i.e. where "Classifieds", "Tech Facts", etc)...change the current Forums to Dodge Forums, and make your other options selectable from there?

just an idea...

It could be a source for brand wars, people tend to get fiesty about their rigs and could end up witha a lot of undesireable posts, sure we all behave pretty well, toss in blind brand loayalty and the bashing begins, kinda nice not having the trash talk here that would othrewise be generated. jmho...

I agree that I think it would be better suited on individual sites, if for no other reason than to help keep the peace Some guys get very brand loyal and I would rather not have a bunch of bashing going on in the forums.

It also might be more comfortable for those guys having issues, I know if I paid 40,000 plus for a brand A truck that isn't running, I would rather not have to look at a bunch of posts by brand B owners who love they're trucks
