I wouldn't mind seeing that either. There are a few on here who've done conversions, and I find it interesting to read about how they overcame certain obstacles, and I enjoy looking at their pictures and admiring some of the workmanship I see.

IMHO not enough to warrant their own forum, they seem to get a good bit of exposure in General Diesel...

It took me awhile to navigate around and find anything on a conversion. Most of the other sites have their own conversion forum, just thought it was a good idea.

I also think it would be a good idea. Wouldn't have to use the search button as much.

I haven't gotten this request every now and then but not very often. I wouldn't mind giving it a try under the general diesel forum as a sub-forum but I wouldn't want to put it on the front page. I'm trying to keep from having too many forums where you have to scroll down a lot to read everything. Some of the sites I see out there have a huge amount of forums on them and I have always felt that they are confusing to most people. I could be wrong though.

Thats sounds fine to me, it doesn't need to be on the front page. It would just be nice to have one location to find all sorts of conversion questions, answers, and pictures.

Some threads have been getting good publicity on the general diesel forum (for ex. my Excursion thread), however two or three months from now it will be on page 16 and most wouldn't find it unless searching for it explicitly. I really enjoy reading about other conversions out there (as I'm sure others do too) and a specific forum would make that pretty darn easy. my $0.02

I'll throw in my $.02 with 5.9's. It's confusing enough trying to do a swap without having the added grief of seaching all over the internet for information. I think it would be a valuable asset to have an active, consistent location for info.

I agree that a sub forum would be convient, I immediately thought front page, one thing I like about DTR is there are not 50 forums on the front page like some I have read. Those make my little head hurt...

And remember guys, if there is an old thread you would like to have in the new sub-forum, which will help in someone's search about conversions, just contact one of the mods, and they will be more than happy to move it.
