Question Columns in Classifieds

While searching through classifieds I noticed that it would be nice to have an "Item Location"
column on the list pages. Seems that alot of stuff for sale is in the South West? Maybe that's my imagination, but either way it would make it easier to browse for those non - freight type items.
? The other columns are a bit bigger than really needed...............

That has been suggested before.......

The HARD part is getting folks to post their City-State in their ads.

I've often browsed through them myself, found something intersesting, then dismissed it it because I couldn't tell how far away I'd have to pay to ship it.
Some members don't even have their state listed in their profile.

A lot of folks, especially you old timers, are afraid of this new fangled Internet gadget,
and don't want too much personal info out there.

I, for one, welcome someone to steal my identity.
They can have it, and the oodles of debt.

There’s nothing to be afraid of, as Phox stated............
There seems to be a pretty decent group of folks here, I think if you want something to sell, a good way to get peoples attention is to have the prospective buyer immediately identify that it is something that can be locally picked up or delivered within reason. Same goes for EBay, it's about the only way I order my searches, (closest first), Then "lowest price" of course!
Users can't be trusted to just put the item location City in the text of the Ad; we need a separate field on the main page before you click on the ad itself.\
