Ad Removal Site Violation?

If someone starts a thread stating they are looking for something to buy and I happen to post a reply mentioning that I have an item that may be of interest in the classifieds on this site, why then was my ad removed due to a site violation. I just dont understand who I could have possibly offended or wronged by doing that.

Thanks,

txwelder

It was posted in the forums, when it should have been replied to via Private Messaging.

In reality both posts should have been removed.

DTR reserves the right to Advertise in the forums for paid DTR vendors only, This also includes any stuff in the classifieds. If I let you guys post your for sale stuff in the forums, it would look like a flea market in less than a weeks time.

We don't want ads cluttering up the forums and making it difficult to find the information that we all come to these forums for in the first place. This is the very reason we supply you with the free classifieds.
