Lucky I checked on this...
Bought my wife a new Chrysler Aspen Limited first of the month. Really nice vehicle, all leather, GPS, Alpine stereo, sunroof, electric seat heaters and the 345 HP Hemi power plant.
Called my insurance company and gave them all the info, vin #, side air bag curtains, alarm system...the works and they told me it was insured. Had a feeling I needed to check on this today and called them only to be told, they knew nothing about the new vehicle

Yep been driving it around 2 weeks with NO INSURANCE
Got the woman to take all the info again and she told me not to worry it was added to my policy this time. I told her that was the same thing they told me a couple weeks ago
I made them fax me a copy of the policy this time showing that it was indeed on the policy.
Moral of this story guys is don't take ANYTHING for granted! Check and double check everything you do because it seems as though people are doing less everyday at their jobs.
I was lucky I thought to call these people again, if the car had been in an accident, they would have denied they ever talked to me the first time and stuck me with the bill

I had a similar incident when I bought my Avalanche. I called my insurance and had them switch my policy from the vehicle I traded. My insurance agent said it was all done and that I'd get a copy of my policy mailed out the next day. Well I just went on my business and completely forgot about the policy being mailed.......until I get this letter from my bank saying I haven't had insurance on my truck in over a month and that they tacked on $983.00 to my loan because of it!!
I tried fighting it but go NOWHERE with it.....so needless to say I got a different insurance agent!

Sometimes an agent will bind the policy and the company will have no idea about it, and also sometimes the person you speak to at the insurance company is wrong because it takes some insurance companies forever to update the system. I will have people call me freaking out because they spoke to someone at the insurance company who said they were not covered when they were and it takes me like 20 min to convince the person they are, and sometimes the agent really dosent do anything?

I dont know about any one else but the DTR is the main cause of me doing less at my job.
