We rode an hour then stopped at a park and had coffee and rolls. Then on another 2 hours and another park for lunch. Finished it off with a parade through the parking lot of a nursing home in Howard Lake for the residents, hopefully gave them a little excitement for the day. The total route was about 38 miles through scenic rual roads in wright county MN.

Saw my dream tractor in there! The Farmall MD. Nice tractors!

A guy I know, his uncle had a Ford 9N with a M&W under/overdrive. He said with it in overdrive, top gear, a gravity wagon, it would go about 35mph

I guess that ford will do 40 mph, the guy who owns it will crank it up once and while and it flys.

we have ab OLD FASHONED DAYS here where i live and had 219 tractors in the parade this year.
It was really neat to see,( of corse NO steel wheels with lugs)
last weekend we had an OLD MACHINERY SHOW here ,many old tractors of all discriptions and thrashing machines ( operating) shingle saw, corn sheller , stationary bailor, all kinds of old equipment running . There were a lot of hit &mis engines running watter pumps and other equipment, in this show they had the steel wheeled tractors also.
yhry also have 2 days of Antique tractor pulls , one with slde one with stone bolt. GOOD SHOW EVERY YEAR !

i love old iron, cant beat old tractors, none of these new ones will last as long as those old beasts of burden, watching RFDTV tonite there was a pull in mississippi that had a ford with the flattie conversion and it screamed down the track in the open class, also seen a G1000 Minnie-Mo blow both sides out of the block, im talking 20 feet in both directions and dropped 2 main caps on the ground. i like watching the open antique and farm tractors pull, nothing like seeing seeing stock looking tractors yanking the front wheels 3 feet off the ground. another good class is the 14,500 and 15,500 hot field, must be field ready, some got cabs and some are driven in and none have wheelie bars, i never knew a 4440 john deere could pull the front wheels 4 feet off the ground, and it was a 16 year old girl driving it, brought it up to about 3500 RPM's and side stepped the clutch and just layed the coal to it, sled couldnt stop it at the end. by the way, if it aint RED leave it in the shed.

Woo! Looks like fun! Buckeye Olivers is hosting Plow Day this weekend. Supposed to have a pretty good turnout.

My friend and I drive these around town quite a bit. 40MPH from a stock row-crop can be an exciting ride!

I love those old Fords powered by the flat heads. You dont see a bunch but theyre cool when you do. Its hard to believe that Ford sold the conversion kits for them.

Now, whos ever seen a four wheel drive 9N?
