You mention all the time you've put into tech articles and the like, and I can imagine that took some research and time, but have they also been deleted from your own site? If not, then what does it matter? You still have them and I'm sure that for the people that care about such things, they are still accessible to them.

Who the heck cares? It's free. No one pays anything except the advertisers, and there's very few of them to begin with. A lot of the other forums have advertising on each page, in each thread and in between almost every other response. Even if this site were like that, it's still FREE TO THE USERS. No one is forcing you to come here, advertising or not.

Polaraco; how do you figure we lost the 'personal touch'? Both Lary and Jack have responded to this thread and do so often. They have always done this when they were the site owners and continue to do so even after they have sold their site. The new owners of this site are on here frequently, multiple times a day. While they haven't engaged in active conversation yet, they have had an active presence here and are still setting things up on their equipment, testing things, getting opinions from their admins and asking, ASKING ASKING questions! What more could we ask for? And while I like all these guys, I'm not sure I'd WANT it to be any more personal! :o

FWIW, the depth, or number of clicks, really is at our discretion. If we feel the link promotes another product or company that isn't on our list of paid advertisers we can pull it. Just like the law, sometimes the spirit is as important as the letter.

Really? Well dern, what can we do to help? Oh wait, I know! We could charge $30 or $40 a year to let you be a member and then if you weren't happy you could ask for your money back and have a reason to be mad when you didn't get it -OR- we could just let you join here for free, stay as long as you like for free, use the site resources for free, let you whine because your time is more valuable than ours for free or we could just give you back your free membership because you're not getting what you feel you're entitled to again, for free. Let us know what we can do to help.

I shop the store all the time and dream, the only thing I have purchase in 4 years for my truck from online was my clutch, I bought it on ebay due to them having the bing cashback at the time and I was offered like 20% off due to other things I have purchased. I also have a bullydog exhaust(they are a forum support if I remember correctly) that I purchase locally. Honestly I have looked at most of the companies that support the site and what they sell, and have done lots of dreaming, unfortuantly paying for college out weights modding the truck. I come for advice, but I also try to give back what I have learned doing my own projects

Well I got a pile of good info on my 2nd gen here on this site. I`am more happy with the the way this site works.If not for this site I woukld still be using my 4 ways on the hills lol. Jack and Larry, thank you both immensley for creating this site, I have learned enough here to be, well ... "dangerous"? to my truck!

this has been one of the only forum style sites that I have never worried about refering people to, or wondered what the kids might read on it, as well as the source of many good friendships and fun. Well done to you both and enjoy the extra time that you will now have. You have certainly earned my respect and gratittude.

I haven't been on long but I want to throw a thanks in for all the hard work you guys do. I know what goes in to running a site like this and it is not just something that you do in your spare time. It takes A LOT of work to keep running and under control. So a big thanks to all the admins and sorry to see you go.
