The next time I have my rear wheels off I'll try to remember to measure the WMS to WMS for you. I think I can put a couple of 2x4 on them and then use a tape measure. Would that be good enough?

I love my antique, no computer, no smog checks and easy to fix with ordinary tools.

I'm really wanting WMS to WMS measurements. I have found several times that the SRW is 65"-66", other places 65.5", that would be my bet. I could pull my duals off and measure it but I'm lazy, and I'm just chasing a rabbit for a future project anyway. As I understand it the C&C is about 2" narrower than the SRW which would make it around 63.5, but I don't know for sure. It just seems odd to me that this info isn't out there someplace and carved in stone.

I have the same question only because I keep messing up my Dana 70U. The Dana 60 size pinion doesn't like the new injectors very much. I want a D80 in place of it. Besides, brake jobs on the D80's are a lot easier.

Nobody read my earlier post?
C&C is wider than the SRW. I have both and have had a tape measure out there more than once. I just never wrote it down anywhere. I want to say...

SRW: 65"
DRW C&C: 67"
DRW pickup: 72"

Their a more than just wms that is different between the 3 axles you asked about. The cc axle also has a narrower spring perch mounting width. Both dually axles also utilize 5/8 wheel studs too, not something you can readily install single wheel rims on.

What is it your looking to do with the axles you have in question?

I was wanting to have one narrowed just enough to be able to use pos offset wheels and keep them under my bedside. In the end I'm wanting a short sport truck, like a LRE or Warlock, but I want the 6BT powering it. I like the SWB better than a stepside but I'm undecided. I'm trying to work the bugs out of my plan before I start.

The Dodge C&C uses the same spring spacing as the SRW and DRW pickup. I know, its weird.

I put a DRW D70 and bed on my W250 6 years ago, the spring perches are the same, it was a bolt in replacment, can't say on a D80.

I first used spacers on my SRW D70 to clear the iner fender wells on a DRW bed, but is was kinda stupid looking so I got a DRW rear end from a budy and used the correct one.

I have not noted any difference in spring perch to spring perch width difference in any of the Cummins 1st gens rear springs.
The bigger lug nuts on the dually axles could be a issue.

The Dana 80 has the same spring pad width perch to perch, but the spring pad itself is 3 inches wide rather than the 2 1/2 inch wide 1st gen ones. I just ground off the sides to 2 1/2 when I did my Dana 80 swap.

The center pin hole that locates the spring pack on the perch is a different size as well, 1st gen D-70 to Dana 80. I just welded a new plate on the the existing perch on the Dana 80 after I trimmed it back to 2 1/2 inch wide.

The there thing that is worth mentioning. The Dana 60 SRW axle wheel mounting surface to WMS to the Dana 80 SRW axle WMS, to WMS surface was over 3 1/2 inches narrower on the D-60.

Yes, farmboy! Post all the pics of that truck of yours, anytime, as much as you'd like. For some reason your truck just says firstgen Maximus all over it!

OK, jut realized I haven't posted a pic of the beast, so here goes. Also. just picked up a set pf 3rd gen wheels with simulators, yes I know they need mods like larger holes but I love those wheels. I'd also like to point out my truck isn't as sweet as Farmboy's but you'll pick up on that.
