installing a cubby question

Is there a replacement insert to replace the "RAM" blank with a cubby pocket? Shown in the picture here. Maybe I'm not calling it the right thing. I couldn't find anything in the search function.

*edit, this is for a 2011 CTD 2500, not my 04.5.

having two radios is not what i had in mind. plus, this is about half a din size. im looking more in the lines of popping that plate out and putting in a storage cubby.

That space is for a switch bank for optional accessories. It's awful small. I can't imagine what you'd use it for. Ive never seen a cubby that would go there. Maybe you can fabricate one.

Phone and wallet would fit perfectly there, just like the cubby on my 04, that's all I use it for.

Studied min on the way home. First I thought my RAM was not there and was factory replaced with the switch bank. Doh. I guess I never noticed a little further down that I had the emblem. I had that bezel off replacing the radio, but I didn't have anything like that in mind, so I'm not even sure if there is space back there to do this. There's 2 screws in the top, under the little rubber pad. Remove those, then the bezel just pulls out at the top, carefully, and swings down. It will hang by a few wires that's easy to unplug. Just be careful not to mess up the edges by prying too hard. Then I guess you can study to see if it's even possible. You can always get some thing black ABS plastic and cut some pieces and make a box.

As mentioned above, the option that goes there is either the switches for heated seats or the 4 button aux. switches. There's actually a 3 wire plug stuck in the back of that blank for the switches if you add them. I have never seen a cubby for that spot and am certain ram doesn't make one. There is however quite a bit of room behind the dash down there. I have my VHF radio mounted behind the dash with a remote face plate kit up top. If you're good with plastic or fiberglass there's no reason you shouldn't be able to build something. The panel secures with 2 coarse thread screws into the dash panel and is pretty sturdy.
