Can someone measure cubby hole please?

Hey all,

I won't have my 2500 quad cab until next week. In the mean time, I was wondering if one of you would be so kind as to measure the height and width of the cubby hole just under the heater controls?

I'm trying to figure out if that space might be big enough to install an in-dash DVD player. I don't want to have to cut a larger space to make room, but if a unit will slide into that existing cubby hole I'd be willing to cut the back out of it to provide enough depth.

i just went out and measured, got 8" wide 9"tall and 3"deep. Now these are approximate dimensions as the opening is oval and its kinda hard to determine what exact location you are talking about. But those are close and should be good for what you want

I'm actually thinking of removing the ash tray and the cubby hole and fabbing up a face plate around my 12 disk changer in there.
Think it will fit if I removed all that?

Right now its in one of the cubby holes under the back seat and I want to get it moved so I can put a sub in there.

Don't mean to hi jack the thread...just wondering if someone had done this or dismantled that area too.

Scotty
