Its the floater plate rattle. Its nothing bad but after 30K miles it gets pretty loud. it happens everytime you push in the clutch.

All you have to do is turn the radio on and you won't be able to hear a thing, I just got back from pushing snow for the last 8 hours with the puller version and I'm not sure why anyone would want a different version. Ya'll remember that a 3rd or 4th gear holeshot is no less hard on a clutch than hooking to a sled. It took me 2 4th gear launches on the street to ruin a good DD McCloud at only 400 hp

Well, we don't do trade ins but, when upgrading one of our clutches, discounts will apply...

Can you address the noise issue and backing trailers with the new clutch.

Peter.....

Now all I need to do is convince the accountant(my wife) that I need one of these bad boys.

I have listened to a NON SBC DD and it sounds cool. Its not as loud as one might think.

The noise issue is not fixable until I design a spring loaded DD (room is the problem) Backing a trailer will be easy.

Peter, I notice that floater plate just floats...my floater plate has metal tabs that bolt to the flywheel. Is this why my clutch is a bit quieter than everyone else's??

Just curious,
Chris

This goes to anybody want's a DD clutch, if you are in or passing through N.E. Ohio call me(330-428-1929) and I will let you try it out doing whatever with as much weight as you want. I can get alot of stuff to load up and pull around. I got the 3850 plate load puller, and I 'll show you that the people who say that you can't do stuff with these things just can't get their left leg to work right. Dean

Or if your closer to SW Ohio I will do the same. I haul every day with my truck and I have yet to have a problem towing. My biggest thing is the loud noise when in 4th gear you really hear the gear whine with a DD when under a load.
