Will this work?
I want to raise my top rpm somewhat but do not want to get too high so instead of replacing gov. springs etc(3kgsk kit) could I just tighten the tension on the springs equally and receive the same results? Even if I only hit 2800 rpm that would be fine for me.
No I meant 2800. I only want that little extra for upshifting with a heavy trailer behind and to pull steep grades a little faster. I normally run at 1950 rpm cause anything over that and I'm just guzzling fuel. Found that out when fifth gear went out and had to tow trailer home 70 miles in fourth gear at 2100 - 2200 rpm. Burnt more fuel in that stretch than in the previous 3hrs of driving.
