will 36's fit?
will 36's fit?
is it possible to get a 36x12.50 to fit on a leveled 2nd gen with only trimming the inner fnder liner and not touching the body work of the truck. also with my custom bumper, there is no lower bumper edges to catch the tire either.
also i rarely wheel this truck...it might see mud once or twice a year, but nothing major, or alot of flex

35's on my leveled 02 (2" frt lift) rub anytime you go full lock on the steering wheel.... either direction!
I just don't go over 1&1/2 turns on the streering wheel and never have a problem! (1&3/4 turns is full lock).
Easy to get use to...except when you forget

The big reason most larger tires rub is because most are wide. Rams seem to really be affected by width differences. I had a friend who 'wheeled a stock height 1500 Ram with Q-78 tires (aprox. 36" tall) and they hardly ever rubbed. But they were much narrower than most oversize tires, at around 9.5" wide. That keeps them inside the fender, and away from the control arms. He had aftermarket wheels, but I don't know if the backspacing was close to stock or not.

With the stock suspension 315/75R16 on our 97 rub on the upper control arm and on the plastic fender liner on the rear. I did trim the bottom of the front bumper about 1/2" or 3/4" tapered to nothing at the top. It would have torn it off if I had not. I think the shape fits better now anyway. As said a turn and a half keeps them off the arms.

my 35's clear "on-road" just fine lock to lock with the 2" levelers. Even when hitting pot holes they do fine. Wheel offset has a big role in whether they'll clear or not. 36's just might a tad too big for no problem clearance. I have 16.5X12.50's on a 10" wheel with a standard offset FWIW.
Good luck
