where does a "drag" comp box defuel in "ez" mode?

I currently have an edge ez. Is it possible to have the same power level as an edge ez but defuel at 3200 instead of 2700? Does that make sense? I am happy with the power enhancement of the ez, but I would like more rpm range if possible. I dont have much go above 2500 rpm when towing heavy. If I could get the same pull all the way to 3000 rpm that would be great.

Bottom line question: Will any comp box in ez mode (no wire tap) defuel at a higher rpm point than my current edge ez box?

 

No it only fuels to 3200 in level 5. A smarty would help you get what your lookin for, You could stack the 2 of them using smarty even levels or you can sell the ez and put the money to the smarty because they are both gonna give you about 60hp alone, together im not shure how much power total.

 

I've seen dyno sheets on the smarty/ez stack somewhere and its nothing to write home about. A smarty by itself would open up the rpms and would bring more power in lower in the rpms than the ez you currently run. Some people like the stack though =P

3000 rpms would be no problem with the smarty

 

im sure edge could reprogram your EZ into a 'drag' EZ...its worth a call.
