When to O ring the head???

At what point of mods does the head need to be O ringed? Specifically with RV275 and EZ it should not need them should it?

I dont think you need O rings unless you are running high amounts of boost like 45 or over.

Thanks Smokin, that is what I thought also but wanted to check. The new engine lost the head gasket in 4000 miles, one week. Trying to determine if it is just faulty or too much pressure.

If you have the head off or plan on it it wouldnt be a bad idea to get it O ringed.

At this point I would like to but I have to do an over night repair, losing my business through down time.

I'm looking for someone that O-Ring a head in my neck of the woods.
[ Frankfort Ky. ]
I just need someone to do the machine work.
I'll do the R&R.
I'm trying to save down time.
It will take several days shipping if I ship it to Piers.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Hmmmmmmm, wonder where you got that idea?

That is something to look into in the future if it happens again. I'll have to look into where to get it machined.

I think you just had a faulty headgasket. I know this is gonna sound silly, but did you torque the head bolts down properly? Did you have the head and block machined so they would both be flat? I'm just wondering.

No Blue, it was a new engine, I never touched the head bolts.
