I have the Flo-Pro dual 4" with an HX-40 downpipe. Love it! It isn't for anyone who wants a loud truck. It has an interesting sound at idle and sounds like a quiet straight pipe under load. You can't hear it in the cab, I have to roll the windows down and then you can hear it. I also have pretty loud tires so it might be louder than I think but it is quiet and sounds good.

Gotta love the way a straight pipe sounds I think it should be against the law for a cummins to have a muffler

I have a JRE with Magnaflow straight through. I don't know if they have stainless or not- probably do.
I like the sound of mine, and I don't know what the drone is about. I have never heard it.

Does anyone have experiance wrapping their pipe from the turbo downstream past the cab with the heat barrier tape to reduce the droan on a straight pipe system?

I run a DTT 4" system and like it a lot. There's no drone, but it sounds like a dump truck under a heavy load. There's also a nice turbo whine audible at idle. It's aluminized steel and has withstood 3 New England winter salt baths so far.

Commatoze-

Thanks for reminding me; I love the sound of mine under load! Especially with the new transmission!

If you throw a post out like that you should clarify a little.

MBRP for quality and ease of install. I love mine. Agree with 'Lil Dog'... band clamps are nice touch. 4" has nice sound without being too loud. Available through the DTR store!

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Rip (http://www.sourceautomotive.biz) yet... I have his aluminum system and have no issues. Rip is one of the best vendors I have ever dealt with.

I would be careful because header wrap is known to trap moisture and such and can rot out your exhaust way before its time.
