I just purchaced a HP66 turbo and I realize I need to change my head studs but what else do you all suggest. everybody I talk to in the shops start out with " Well its going to cost you But I would..." I need advice from guys who actually have done it and drove it. Thanks alot everyone.

 

You could port match the exh ports and manifold while you have it off. Smooth things out to help airflow and that should help spool that monster. If you have a die grinder it'll only cost you some time.

 

Just don't go crazy before opening the t-stat. I had no gasket problems with over a year of 45+ psi with a 64 turbo. Then I just drove down to TREdiesel in Norfolk and drove home three hours later with a studded head. Easy as that
