just looking for some mechanical explanation on what o ringing is and does. no mechanic here so just cuirous.

when they o ring they cut a small groove around the combustion chamber in the head. Then they install a small peice of metal in the groove. This applies more pressure on the gasket around the cylinder so there is less of a chance of blowing the HG.
