Went the track last night......

Well this is my second time ever running the truck. The first time I had all of the same things in my sig except a #4 plate, 3.54 gears and 38" tires. The trucks best time in 100 degree heat was 16.1@79. Ran it last night with my 4.10s the copy of a 100 plate and bigger tires. Well the truck went 16.06 @ 79 again. It take off real nice out of the hole but has no top end, I know this is due to the fact that my truck is a flying brick but I thought it would be faster than this. It was pretty humid, I know this affects gas cars but I am not sure if it hurts diesels.

It hurts diesels as well. You probably counteracted your gear swap by moving up to the larger tire. Throw some 33's on there and then tell us what you run. I wonder if you might need a new turbo. I know the 100 plate is a pretty hard fueling plate. My guess is it's time for a new turbo and some gauges.

I have guages, I have the plate 1/8" back and the egts where hovering around 1200 degrees. I know my truck is running out ot fuel but I just thought it would be a little quicker.

I didn't see any gauges in your sig that's why I mentioned them. In that case, I think it's time for more fuel and air.

time for some injectors and a turbo

one thing that'll help your top end charge is a larger turbine side...

I had 370's and a #6 on my 215 plate w/ the stock turbo... when I went to the HX40, it pulled SO much harder on the big end, it was amazing! before it felt like the truck flattened out around 3000rpm or before... I have to watch to keep from taking it over 3400-3500. I've seen 4000 once when I wasn't paying attention!
