valve springs?

I have 2 first gen Dodges. I know if I install an exhaust brake I need to install the 60 LB exhaust springs.
I talk to ATS after I ported and polished my head. I had then O-ring my head. Then I asked about boost and how that affected my valve train. I was thinking, if I had 60 PSI boost pushing on my intake valves than I may have a problem. They told me they had customers making over 90 PSI boost on stock valve springs. so far Im OK with that.
I have a governor spring on both of my trucks. I know I can rev over 3500 and get more than 43 PSI boost with no problem. If I build a twin set up. will boost affect wether I need valve springs or not.
I think I would like to know at what point in time do I need bigger valve springs.
I would like to know if all 12 valve engines, first or second gen, came with the same valve springs.
Im also wondering if the 24 valve engines have the same valve spring.
I know the 24 valve engines will rev over 3000 from the factory. I am curious what there factory springs are like and what there limitations are.
I know this is a broad question but I believe this is very important. I would rather be safe than sorry.
OK Im open for comments.

This is sad 24 hours and no comments.
Is there no one here that builds engines or knows about piston to valve clearance. I am not worried about my engine, Im OK with it. I keep getting phone calls from guys that use to own PSDs and now own Cummins.
Yes I have talked them into bying trucks with real engines. now they want a bit more RPM. I dont want to lead them astray.
Talk to me you Cummins boys
I want some valve train info...

If I remember right the 24 Valve engines have basically a 60lb valve spring.

I sled pulled for 2 seasons with stock springs at around or about 50lbs of boost +/- and all of my intake valves had made contact with the piston tops at some point.
So to answer your question: No I dont think 60lb valve springs will cut it.

I now run F1 Diesel ProSportsman Valve springs and they seem to do a lot better job running in the higher rpms under high boost.

if you are going to run 4000rpm plus i suggest you also get titanum keepers and locks. i pulled my head off my dually and none of the valves had contacted the pistons. and the motor had been in the 4500 plus range many times with a 370 marine springs. but the keepers were almost pulled through the retainers. i had one heck of a time trying to free them up.

YES.

NO. They have 24 valve springs instead of 12, which are 60 pounders from the factory, also not the same as a 12V 60# valve spring.
Big boost and high rpm over time will = valve to piston contact. I don't know anything about the 24V's limitations. If I were to do the valve springs again, I'd get the titanium retainers and locks. Save $10 on them when you buy the 60lb valve springs at the same time from www.haisleymachine.com. Haisley has just about the best deal on them.
