valve spring questions

I am about to order a 4kgsk with hd springs, do I need to pull the head to put in the valve springs?

I think all that comes off is the valve cover

No you dont have to but it would make it easier and safer. I know theres a tool that you can screw into your injector port and hook it to an air compressor and that will keep the cyilinder pressurized so the valve doesn't fall it to the cyilinder then you would really have to take the head off. I dont know were to find the tool at but maybe you could search the web and find it. If you go that way you better have a really good air compressor. Hopefully this helps.

I got a tool like that at autozone i use on on sbc for the same job mostly. it could probably be adapted.

valves will not fall out if the piston is at tdc on each cylinder you are working on. using a stubby spring compression tool the head does not have to come off. K-D Tools Valve Spring Compressor 2078 works pretty good.

I was hoping that you could put each cyl at tdc to hold the valves. Thanks for the advice.
