Valet switch for p-pumps???

please, to all of you running valet switches on your p-pumped motors, how much of a power increase is it with it on compared to it off, when i dynoed my truck their was only a 10hp difference with the switch on compared to it off is that normal??? thanks

Alot depends on pump, injectors, and how your afc is setup. I'm not running one right now, but at one time i was at 507 in full fuel, 130 in Valet.

come on guys i know their a quite a few guys out there with valet switches, and everything i heared was that the switch stopped alot of the fueling process, so why is it i only make 10 more hp with the switch off than on, heres a list of mods, 435 injectors(150hp stix), lasercut dvs, custom #4 fuel plate slid full forward, 4k rpm kit, and afc mods for more rack travel. so what gives, if i could cut my horse power in half with the switch then id like to now how, but so far that switch makes only a minor difference in performance. please somebody, any ideas, whos running this switch and whats the difference between valet and full fuel. thanks

Valet cuts mine down to way less than half. But I get my power from the pump, not injectors and dv's. It would be easy to check with your plate and afc bolted to a setup fixture.

Have you checked your shutter valve to see if its shuting off or by-passing?

ya for the most part, but you can hear a difference in noise, it gets louder and you feel a little kick but not that much of a difference.

if you cut the foot then that will stop the valet from doing as it is supposed to...with no foot or a cut foot fuel comes on before the afc can slow it...springs dont hurt a valet its when the foot gets cut down which allows the arm to travel farther to reach the afc then your valet is kicking in but its to late by then as your about half way into it by then and the other mods have caught up to it...I left my foot alone but backed the spring down til shes soft allowing more afc travel but still able to restrict the arm travel when i flip the switch...I believe i got all that right...

well i didn't cut the foot, the foot is on a metal shaft and when their is boost the foot slides on the shaft towards the front of the motor, but it doesn't let the fueling arm travel all the way, so i cut the part of the afc foot that is on the shaft, allowing the foot to travel back farther. which actually didn't help the fueling or do anything. i was having this valet problem before i played with the afc. so im not sure what the problem is.
