v.a. box

i have a v.a.box on my truck and i see that a lot people have the ezeeee. looks like it's the favour of the day. reading around here ,when people have a problum with d.c.,this pump wire hook-up is a big issue. my box just plugs in and is easy to un-plug if there is a warranty problum. now the question
! is there a big difference in the v.a. box then the other boxs. what are the advantages of one over the other. the truck is used for towing and construction general type work.general work and pleasure type of use.

Frank there's not a lot of difference in the VA and the EZ, both plug in and outreal quick. But the Edge Comp with the wire you speak of is a whole different story, its adjustable from inside the cab from 60 to 130 HP. where the EZ and VA are around 60 HP.

Re:v.a. box

I've driven mine with the comp plug wire hooked up and unhooked up (is that a word ). I like it because with the pump wire unhooked, I get the same power as an EZ PLUS I can control when the power comes in (adjust at what boost PSI the engine starts putting full fuel in). With the wire hooked up, not only can I adjust the power from stock to 120+ at the wheels, but I can also control when the power comes in. I really like the set up and it is very easy to unplug and plug back in. It's a little harder to do with the pump wire, but maybe another 5 mins. bringing the total uninstall time to 10mins. instead of 5.

Re:v.a. box

I have a Van Aaken ("V.A." ) box on my truck, it's marketd as a "BD Plug 'n' Play", and we carry that box at our shop, as well as all of BD's performance stuff.
I love my VA, and the throttle response it gives... it dyno'ed at a little higher HP than an EZ Edge on my truck. No idea if it'll do the same on other trucks, mine has injectors and a Powermax 3 from TST, as well as other non-stock parts...

Briar knows his stuff. He and Will are putting some plans together for my truck. Give them a call at Black Mountain Diesel.
