upgraded to a drag comp

my comp had a couple problems, so when Rod ordered me another one I said what the heck and had it upgraded to a drag comp..

it's linda fun having pull hard all the way up to 3 grand......... taps 40lbs of boost in 5th now no problem

I may need a new headgasket, turbo and exhaust sometime soon

Yeah the extra high rpm's are great.

40psi is nothing, why would you need a new headgasket at that?

He'll need a new head gasket cause with the bigger turbo, it's going push more boost.

actually I think it's leaking, I'm loosing a small amount of antifreeze and my friend says he saw a "trail" on my bel housing when we were changing the motor and tranny mounts

and yeah I assume if I went to a dodgezilla or k1 I'd make more than 40lbs ............... I thought the stock gasket was only good to like 45 ............

Have heard some guys have no problems at 60 psi, others (mine) go at 45 psi. Think it depends most on how level your stock head was when installed. When your twice the design boost - it's the luck of the draw. I'm suprised any of the stock gaskets hold up!

One of the B-1's will give you about 50 psi of nice cool(er) boost and no barking problems, but Rod probably already told you that!

This sounds like something I would be interested in. I swear I can feel my TST PM3 defueling as early as 2,400 RPM. And its seems much worse if the rate of RPM increase is faster, for instance in second gear. Its like the boost just starts to come on, RPM's start ramping up fast and then it just feels like somehtings holdin in back, and like I said, way before 3,000. If I upgrade my TST PM3 to a competition version will this eliminate this condition?? I want max fuel all the way up to 3,200 RPM.....
maybe I should just sell the PM3 and get an drag comp, it sounds much more aggressive than the PM3....

My PM3 competition version fuels to 3400 rpm (only levels 6-9). You can send your's back to TST and they'll program it to a comp version for $50 the last I heard.
