Turbo Timer EGT Setting?

Whats a good EGT to shut down at? Right now I have mine set at 330 degrees. After the motor is off, it appears with Heat Soak - the temp will climb back up to 390 before it starts decreasing again....Is that Okay? My gut feeling says I should lower it some more.

Personally I think 350 is fine.
My truck will sit at almost 400 degrees just idling. I don't think mine would ever shut off if I had it set much lower than that.

Thats another problem I see with asking a question like this.... it seems that Pyro's can vary quite a bit. My old gauge mount pyro on my 92 dodge would change 100 or so degrees depending if the lights were on or not....

My 01 Auto with stock turbo cools down to 300 in about 2-3 minutes. Pyro is pre turbo. I keep my turbo timer set at 300.

Every truck is different though, you'll have to see how yours reacts.

It takes for flipping ever for mine to get down to 300 even in below freezing temps. I don't have a turbo timer but I shut it down when it is below 350. Most of what I have read recommends 300.

I have mine set to 300. Usually takes about a minute or 2. EGT probe is pre-turbo.
