your not going to be able to drive your truck on the road with a s400 as your only turbo.

Now, you could stack that under your stocker and have one heck of a setup!

thats what I was wondering cause he has it on his 97 pulling truck and its way to much turbo for his truck...it takes him prolly 5 min to build up boost and it really never builds up enough....he said it would be alright for my truck cause mines a manual and his was a auto though....

nope, but that is a popular turbo to fab a set of twins out of

I am going to make a set of twins with a sps62 and a s400/b2 here in the near future.

That would be crazy lag running it as a single!

your looking at about a ps 62. Throw a smarty on that and you can get the sps62. You'll be running quite cool. Maybe a bit more lag than you'd like, but stick the smarty on there and it will be night and day difference. Its insane how much quicker the smarty makes the turbo light!

I think when I get done I would like to have a set up of TST PM3 which I already have, smarty, bigger sticks, south bend, and a larger turbo, I think a set up like that would get me some good power but not enough to worry about takin the head off for some studs or anything...

with a tst pm3, smarty and mach 4's your lookin at least a sps 64 but a silver bullet would be better if you dont tow. However, if you tow, the SB isnt the best choice

i would think 2wice about not doing the studs atleast. these gaskets stock can blow at as low as 40psi. and if you go over that, well your just pushing your luck. with that setup and a turbo, you will have no problem gettn over 40psi.

How about a setup simular to Charlie8301's:

Mach 1.6 + smarty + tst + sps62 for a 450+ combo

Studs are still a good idea and can be done w/o removing the head

Mach 4's work good with a 62 but a 64 will probably run a little cooler. You don't need a HRVP to help you out any. You'll make just as much power with the stocker as long as your pump wire is tapped.
