Turbo comparison
It is a similar base turbo. There are some mods that we do to make them different. Ours comes as a kit as well with a downpipe and everything else needed to install.

tom, with the bd kit you won't have to find anything else it is very complete!! no running to the parts store looking and hunting for a fitting or a clamp of modifing this or that it's all in the box! and yes it is the same s300g based 57mm turbo. i had one before i outgrew it and held up to more than it should've. if you want pm me and i might be able to find some numbers when i dynoed and info.
I did have to modify my wastegate to make it adjustable. There are some tricks to getting it all in there because it is a tight fit. You will have to dent the oil return line where it meets the compressor outlet. Removing the wastegate was necessary for me but it went back on after all else was buttoned up. The turbo fit well once I got the downpipe correct, I made my own. I would suggest for the sake of frustration to get a pre-fab DP. The turbo with my loose and sliping converter made 396/783. Great turbo in my opinion and kept things so cool it was hard to believe. I have the gate set at 35 psi right now but on the dyno it was blocked. Any other Q's let me know.

I had fit up problems with my S300 as the aftermarket (II, HTT, BD, Etc.) all reposition the wastegate to clear the shock towers in the 2nd gen trucks.. Mine contacts the shock tower if the truck is in full torque. I had to shorten up the mounting plate for the gate actuator and just use the boost elbow to control the WG. I will have to order a mounting plate and actuator one day for the aftermarket makers to make it a more official install.
