Tuning tips?
Last night I installed a set of gov. springs, and tonight I'd like to do the AFC spring kit,but while the afc is off, I was thinking of sliding the plate around a bit.
I know it's a #4 plate, cause I had the housing off before, and I know it is slid just about all the way front, maybe within 1/16 to an 1/8 inch from full front.
Question is: Would the TST plate be better off more centered? I've read a lot of posts that are dyno proven that the aftermarket plates do much better and make more power centered. Is this actually true?
I don't recall any marks under the housing where someone would have scribed the original location of the factory plate. This was all done before I bought this truck.
Just looking for tips while I've got this AFC housing off. Maybe tweak out a few more ponies
Thanks Rick

I think they make more power a little back from full forward, probably close to where you are.
I would wait for a few more opinions before changing it though

A #4 plate in a 215 pump?... Never heard of such a thing.
