I've only noticed a shudder once one mine. I've only had the comp for a couple of months now, but have yet to have a problem with it.

OK!
I was wrong above anyway.... the PM3 is rated at 135 hp. (15 hp per setting x 9 settings). I get 120 hp on my automatic. The Comp only adds 30 hp max for me, so far, on the dyno!

May be a function of bigger injectors only?? Many others, before me, have noted the shudder. Pulls hard, as long as you stay on it, but no amount of gradual release will avoid it from WOT!

I can get the shudder and BAD! But the only time I get it is if I back out of the throttle quickly BEFORE the turbo has fully lit. If the turbo is lit and boost is up, I can snap out of the throttle, no problem. But if I have it floorboarded and the coal is rolling, but the turbo hasnt lit yet and then roll out of it, it shudders real bad. I am convinced that the shuddering is NOT the pump cavitating, but the engine shuddering from buring the residual fuel left in the cylinders in an un controlled and un timed fashion. It actually sounds very cool but I dont suppose its the best thing for the engine.

The PMCE (Competition) adds 180 HP and 450 lb-ft Torque (on level 9) for the standard engine. The HO (High Output) engine (2001-2002) already has 245 HP and the PMCE (Competition) does not make as much of a difference and adds 80HP and 310 lb-ft of Torque.
copied directly off of the tst products. com website. it takes off 100 hp and 140 lb-tq just because i have a HO?? well whats the regular pm3 give a HO?

I have heard that the regular PM3 only adds 80 Hp to an HO as well.

Mark Chappel told me 80-90hp, and that the CE on an HO may add "area under the curve", but no PEAK gain over the regular pm3.

The weenie HO vp is simply maxed out with the regular PM3, so pushing it harder gets you nothing.

That said, you should still be able to get ~500hp pretty easily with a TST and some decent sticks, assuming enough air.....

With my current setup on the normal TST, I'm not seeing a difference between level 4 and level 9.

The 434 in my sig was done on level 4 and my level 9 run only made 429.
