Truck started surging bad!!

I was driving down the highway today and my truck started surging really bad. It felt as if I was flooring it then lettin off back and forth. I gave it some throttle and nothing happened. The truck didn't even rev up. I was thinking it would be the vp however the truck has no codes, good fuel pressure, and the vp is fairly new. I also thought the tpi or aps sensor or somethin with the throttle. Please if anybody knows anything let me know.
Thanks
Scott

Unhook your comp and see if that helps. My old comp would cause the truck to do that sometimes. It might very well be your VP as well. Also, justin had an issue like that and he fixed it by plugging his map sensor back in.

Yeah it could be vp. I turned the comp off and it was still doing it. I had had my map sensor unpluged a while back for only a day but now I have it plugged in.

Doubt it. You know how I told you mine was doing the same thing after a hard WOT run? Put that aftermarket water temp gauge on and it doesn't do that. The more I think about it the more I lean towards your injection pump or APPS.

Did you try resetting the APPS?

I had a pretty bad surge with my truck. First it was only wot with the box up on 2 or more. Then it was with the box on or off. Now with the new turbo its smooth as silk no matter what i do. I just thinkit was to much for the hx 35 to have a box and big injectors.

I put my bet on apps or maps. I would also try to reset the apps and check the connection of the map sensor and take it out and clean it .

Hey scott you in College Station? I've got a better reset procedure than disconnecting the battery and what not.

Try cleaning the map and apps connection. If that doesn't work try recalibrating your apps. I believe BB and I have the same thing in mind. Also try unhooking the edge completely.
