my friend doin a build on his 99 ctd dually he is goin to be goin for 500 hp. he was wondering if he could just get away with a torque converter, valve body and flex plate to hold 500? if not what all will he need and which do you recomend sun coast or ats? its between these to bc my other friend owns a diesel shop and he a deal or these to.

That should be able to get you to 500, but I would at least also recommend a Billet Input for 500HP..JMO Also want to make sure the rest of the transmission is up to par as well.
