Tranny programming
There are devices that take over operation of the governor soleniod. I would strongly caution against using anything that's takes control of this circut without understanding what is going on internally with the transmission.
The factory PCM does a good job of using various inputs to regulate trans function.

You could check Ebay or the like for a since discontinued controller.
You had different profiles stored on your computer, and downloaded them into this tranny controller, like daily driving, towing, racing ,etc.
For the life of me I can't remember the name though.
Kinda useless post now.
I do remember the guy that invented it and sold it passed away, and his wife didn't want to continue with the company, so she closed it down.
The products name was his last name, something like Elby Power Programmer?

It was called EMJAY STRATEGY Controller.
Personally I do prefer doing a VB or a shift kit over electronic programming because the apply presseures of the clutches are not controlled electronically and you will want to raise them to get more grip on the clutches.
The only thing these devices can do is to change the shift points a good bit and to control TC lockup.
Just my opinion
