My buckshot 315/75/16 mounted on my stock chrome steel wheels lasted 29K. Great tire for dirt traction, OK in the mud... diesel seems a bit heavy for the gumbo, terrible on the ice, great in fresh/ falling snow, awesome in the slush. Wore out too fast for me. Might do better with wider rims so you can pump them up over 40 psi. For me, 40 psi wore out the center faster than the sides.

I've heard similar things about the bighorns, although the bighorns might be a bit better on the ice. My buckshots hook up real well on the dry pavement as well. Great soft compound for drag racing. Tires seemed to cut pretty easy on the rocks here in Utah. Not too loud, once in a while you can hear them over the motor at maybe 40 MPH. Fuel economy went way down. I have now downsized to 285's. I like this size tire better.
