Tire Rub

I recently got 305's put on my truck and of course the rub, i was wondering whats the easiest way to eliminate this. Wheel spacers or a leveling kit? also when i try to put it into first gear or reverse it grinds so i have to put it into fourth or fifth first(its a manual tranny)?

Welcom to the DTR. A 2" leveling kit clears 35's on mine. Sounds like the syncros are worn. Its a common prob. Fill in your sig when you get time it will help in the future.

What do you mean by syncros? I just put in a new track bar and now my nearly worn out 315's rub when I turn hard left. What is going on? It has never rubbed in the past.

welcome to TDR! I would def go with a leveling kit i have one on my truck and it looks real nice, and personally i think wheel spacers kinda look ghetto sometimes cause the tires just stick out to far ! but i am in the same predicament i have a leveling kit already and i am possibly putting on 315x75x16 which is basically a 35". read my post a few above yours 315's vs. 285's it might answer some of your questions!

Any suspension manufacture(fabtech, skyjacker, rancho, tuff country, etc) probally makes a leveling kit for your truck. im not sure who makes mine do to the fact it was on the truck when i bought it! but as far as your tranny i have no clue manual trannies is not my cup of tea.
