time for bombs

you can see in my sig what I drive, performance wise I think I would be happy with a #10 plate and 3gsk. However I am not sure on the parts I'll need to safely run that clutch/egt. I have 1000 to 1500 to spend. I know I'll need gauges and 4inch but can I run just that or will I need an intake as well and in stock position will the clutch hold. I tow heavy often 7000 and up and there are big long hills in my area. I don't want to have to baby the truck, however I can have a watchful eye. Also places to get exhaust cheap just want 4 inch straight.

Just do it yourself..

Stick a sawzall or a torch, cut that exhaust off, and put in the stock straight pipe.. that will sound good, save u some money in the meantime.. You will get bitten by the bombin bug soon enough, and ull want more than ur gsk and 10 plate can handle. If you are going on a stock clutch, with the setup you have stated you will be fine provided you arent too hard on it. My clutch dont like the zero, or the 100 plate and it dont tolerate banks plate full forward too well either. But it gives me incentive to stay off of it. 7000 lbs isnot a heavy tow.. I tow with my banks plate full forward twice a week on average, two horses and a two hrose with stuff, weighs in at about 5500-6000 lbs, no issues,

The only advise i give you is DO NOT lug fifth gear under 1750 rpms, anything 1500 or lower will risk the nut falling off and u will have fifth gear nut failiure..

I think with ur 1500 bucks, u can get the gauges, the ten plate, and gsk, and still have aboit half of it left. exhaust go straight, just cut and paste.. no more than 50 bucks for material and labor if u do it urself. Hey and its best u watch ur truck and slightly baby it, i do, but know u have enough get up and go if u need it.. best of luck and hope this helps
