thuren crossover kit
Sorry, I also misunderstood what you meant when you spoke about the axle moving
When you turn the wheel hard over, I think you'll find the Thuren crossover bar actually moves rearward! Don't have one but that's how I picture it!

Do these pics answer any of your questions?? If not, I can go take pics of mine at full lock and check the clearance!

Thanks ,but no help there I've been looking at those photos myself, then at my truck and thats why i'm not getting it. Sig 600 if you were to pull a string between the bolts on your crossover bar then check the clearance on that string at full lock in both directions would it hit anything? If I didn't need to keep my truck mobile untill I do this I would just yank everything off and check for myself. I already have the tubing and the rest of the parts should be here next week but I don't have a torch set and once the truck is apart I'll have no way to go get a torch set.
Nevermind...I was mistaken. The "bent" bar is the one that runs from the pitman arm to the right steering knuckle. Not the draglink...although the drag link does have a slight bend on each end, that is not as crucial for clearance as the other bent bar!

94-97 trucks have a different sway bar mount than the 98+. Both the tie rod and the drag link will need to be bent to clear the sway bar mount.
As the wheels turn lock to lock, the tie rod moves backward, closer to the axle housing. A straight tie rod on a 96 will hit the sway bar mounts.
You should have the drag link on top of the knuckle and the tie rod underneath......
