Thinking about injectors

Can I get injectors that would add about 60 hp and still give me decent fuel mileage and be good for towing? I saw a set on ebay for $280 that claim 60 hp and 100 fet lb of torque is that a good deal?

A good idea is to get a hold of Rip at Source Automotive and talk to him about EDM mach 1.5 or a little bigger.

Formula 1 makes an injector called the Mach 1.6. This is supposed to be the latest in towing and mild street injectors. The comp will work with bigger sticks but you will need tranny work to keep your rig on the road.

Yes , lots if ya want it , depends when ya shift , with the comp off there is a little more smoke than stock not bad though , put it on sublevel 5 and lug your shifts and lookout, its a good cloud , I got to stop that though not good for clutch . Opps you got an auto, can't really give ya answer on that one but wouldn't think there would be much difference.

I am going to go with the 275/300's they seem to offer enough power and I can get them cheap.

My 02 truck made 400rwhp with just 90hp injectors and comp box. With twins I in the 450rwhp range, with alot less smoke. I would run Don's 1.6 mach sticks and the comp box. You have to upgrade your fuel system and run a good after market converter. Your tranny guy should put a shift kit in your tranny as well as freshen up the clutches. Personelly I would buy a completely worked tranny from a good tranny shop. I've run a stock tranny with a shift kit and after market convertor for about 100000miles now. The stock stuff only lasted about 6000miles. If you tow anything at all, consider a built tranny from a good tranny shop like DTT, ATS, or so on. Money well spent.

What else do I need to do to the fuel system when I add the injectors? I ordered a pusher pump and just replaced my LP...anything else?

Upgrade your banjo fittings to a high flow kit fuel kit. Your pump(s) will luv the improvement. You should also think about put your pusher pump on a relay so it wont kick in until your truck starts. I have a relay off my old lift pump wires and have the pump hard wired into the battery. I've lost too many fuses to a bad pump. I blown the ECM fuse that powers the lift pump. Its only a 10 amp fuse. Without the ECM your truck wont run. Which pusher pump did you buy? A cheap pump is the carter 4601. Its the same pump as your lift pump. You will only get around 50000 miles with a stock lift pump. I aready have about 80000miles on my Fass, so I'm money ahead now. I replaced a fuel filter at 50000 miles, just in case. You'll have winner no matter who's injectors you're gonna run. Don's mach'rs are low smokers, so your crankcase wont fill up with soot.

I got some 110hp injectors, there real nice, but I wish I would have went with 130hp injectors. Or even 155hp injectors, but I've heard they don't make any more power than the 130's with a stock VP-44.

I have read that what you heard is true... for you because of your HO engine....not true for Big Deezul or others with standard output engines!

Big Deezul - The Mach 1.6's from F-1 (Don M.) are the lattest technology...put into the 1.5's...and are the way to go! Less smoke, lower EGT's and slightly more HP (5-10 hp, I believe). Not listed on his web page yet but that is what to ask for from Rip!

Also, I agree with Mike H. - save your pusher pump money and protect your Lift pump with Scottys Fuel Flow System...bigger lines and banjos. Excellent bang for the buck and will take you to about 475 hp +/- with enough FP. Eliminates frequent LP replacements - I ran the same LP for 60,000 miles, before going with FASS.
