Thermocouple Question
Thermocouple Question
Ok. I've got a thermocouple already mounted pre turbo (and one post turbo) for my digital gauge. I got an ISSPRO EGT gauge now. Do I have to use the thermocouple that came with the ISSPRO or can I just use my existing one? I don't really feel like going and buying a drill bit and a tap if I don't have to. Thanks for the help.
From what I have read about the thermocouple, the length of the wires is predetermined and must be left the same or readings will be inaccurate. If the leads are the same length, I would try it, and see if works.
I had no problems running the thermocouple from my old TST comp box (sorry, t-couple brand unknown) with my Isspro EV guage. As long as the thermocouple wires aren't cut, I don't think it matters? ??? I'd try it first, if it doesn't work then spend the money.

I went and bought the stuff just in case. I got to thinking about it and the t-couple that's in there now was from my very first set of autometer gauges so I think it's time to change. Plus I got to buy a couple of new tools.
All of the gauges are working great and look awesome. Thanks for the help yall.
