To get this topic back on subject. The company TCS Performance Products is where I bought my converter. http://www.tcsproducts.com/index.php...d=19&Itemid=35

It's a different company than what cmnscrzy is talking about.

As Mike suggested there are two different TCS companies that are involved in the transmission/torque convertor inductry.

We should try not to confuse the two.

You're right, I just wanted make sure folks knew the company you were bad mouthing was not the one I was talking about.
It's kinda of confussing being that one company is TCS peformance and the other company is TCS Performance Products.
I was confussed myself. I just assumed he was talking about the company I got my converter from.

TCS Perfomance Products make some really nice hard parts and converters for out applications.

Im not bad mouthing anyone.Ive used several of there convertors since my 9x11 had a problem. Some apps are just hard to get right and theres a ton of vendors out there who dont stand behind there work but make a KILLER product(Yank also comes to mind, theyve left customers holding the bag as well)

Im sure there are people out there who have had problems with TCS Performance Products as well as TCS Performance. Its the nature of the game. And if youre not breaking stuff youre not making enough hp.I know all my rides make big hp

The thread starter asked had anyone used a TCS convertor.I have so I posted my experience.

Somehow I must have mistakenly read into your post below as bad mouthing, my mistake. I'll have to work on my reading and comprehension.

All kidding as side, I agree with you cmnscrzy. No matter how hard companies try to build a perfect product for everyone there will always be some that are disappointed.

He told one of his top vendors that Buick guys were cheap and could Edit if they didnt like the convertor he built.Thats a darn near word for word quote from Rusty at TCS.

ANd we wint even talk about the out of round convertors he put out that cost a ton of people there transmissions then he wouldnt stand behing his convertor.

Like I said,do a search.Lotta good and some bad.

I broke the ring that the clutches spline to off the piston.

Make sure they mig weld it and not tig weld it...

I use the PI kit to build the TC's, seems they have a better way of splinning the clutches to the cover and to the piston.

I also forgot to add...

The apply piston that TCS uses is not dampened like the stocker or the PI kit.

When lock up comes on you KNOW it.
