I recently bought a BD Super B off of a buddy who gave me a good deal. It has been a great turbo for me, but I have been wondering a few things. How does the B compare size wise to the other popular turbos....ie HTB2, sp62 or 64. Just courious how what I have compares.
Also what are the housing sizes on the Super B?

just measure the intake tract, i bet it is 58mm

 

58mm sounds right. It is a Borg Warner S300 frame/housing....same as the others you mentioned.... but with some better ideas, in my opinion.
If it's a true Super B it will have twin exhaust ports and a special extended tip compressor blade design, that I believe the others do not have.
450hp and under, I think it's as good as any on the market! JMO

Sp62 & 64 may move a little more air...in theory, but, I think with more lag. BD has a turbo guru up there that really knows his stuff. I'm not fond of some of their products but their turbos are exceptional. I'd stay with what I have, unless your over fueled.....and your Sig. says your not..

I'm perfectly happy with the turbo! It has no lag with the catcher and spools great to 40+lbs with the comp on! I was just wondering how it stacked up with the others. Thanks!!!!!! Plus it sings a pretty song under the hood even over the stacks. Well with the windows up
