the swap is fairly easy. if you know how to turn a wrench and have a few tools, you can knock it out in about 3 hours. you can find a pump for about 1050 or less...

YEP what you all said is true! Be sure to change your L/P while you are at it for another $200.00!

Full directions are available on DTR!

$200? Stock carter pumps can be had from Cummins for around $70.

I guess it all depends on your demographics????

Hot rod V/P's can be had for $1600.00 and I think that your Fass should be well up to the task! What kind of Fuel pressure were you running previous?

Almost exactly one year ago, I was posting the same subject.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/...injection+pump

My VP died and I had to get the truck towed home.
One HR-VP44 from Doug at Performance Diesel Warehouse, about 5 hours with a wrench and all's well.
My philosophy, if it breaks and leaves me stranded, upgrade it so it doesn't happen again.

Yes, I have had the FASS with no filter for over a year, and fuel pressure is not a problem. Quality product with pretty simple, straight foreward install.

No up-front core at this place. They give you 30 days ... and the price is right!

Or

You can order it from a local dealer, which you can find using this link, and bring your core down when you pick up the new unit.

your truck has a 235 hp pump on it. And thats the one i would get (IMO)

however you could go with the hot rod pump. but you could buy some 300 dollar jammer nozzles that give you 150hp instead of paying 600 bucks for 45~60 hp on the HR pump.... imo
