Stack smarty with banks?

I bought an 01 CTD last month and it's got the banks powerpack, which has the 4" turbo back, upgraded turbine housing w/ bigger wastegate actuator, hi ram, otttmind module, and gauge set. Lift pump pressure at idle is good (original pump) but I plan on replacing it before doing anything else. My only gripe about the banks is it doesn't make smoke!!! I know the banks mindset is air then fuel, but what about stacking a smarty with it and just using a fuel alone setting on the smarty? The banks has EGT limiting, but would they work together?

You could probably stack the Smarty on even settings (no timing) with no problems, but if it were me, I'd just yank the ottomind out. You could always try just disconnecting the power wire to the banks and try it stacked and see how you like the stack or without. Sell the banks on ebay and add a TST pm3 later.

It works....I can't remember who tried it, but they said it worked fine on even settings. I still agree with Tiger Rag.....sell the Banks & get a TST or Edge Comp.

the banks i have in my other truck( cant stand) is not a aggressive fueling box and unhook the pyro limiter from the ottomind. when you stack you get a decent amount of smoke.ive done it with a superchip, baks does have a aggressive tuune for your aootomind have it in mine its called the big hoss tune its above the powerpack bye alot and it smokes like my tst. when you stack it gives you more fuel up front and on demand. the banks isnt that bad as long as you get the biggest safe tune he has. its not equal to my tst its like 4 or 5. pretty weak i know but it gets 22 mpg hand calcd out and it runs pretty good. I would rather get rid of it but yes you can stack with about any other box that doesnt do timing tryed that and it ran horrible.

I just got off the phone with banks tech support and they said the powerpack ottomind that's in my truck is the most aggressive they offer for the 2001 model year. I asked about stacking with a smarty and he said anything that alters the factory PCM the ottomind will recognize it and deactivate itself. Looks like it's time to shop for a while new tuner and sell the ottomind w/ gauges on ebay. I could probably get a couple hundred bucks out of it. I'm thinking about the juice w/ attitude so I don't have to buy new gauges. Basically I want something with ***** that can be turned down for better mileage during highway driving, but make some smoke when I want it to.

Juice makes lots of smoke with some RV 275 injectors for $262 additional bucks.
My only complaint is that you can't disable the egt back down on the Juice, and at some future time, i'd like to go a little past 1500 for a short burst. I do like the egt backdown when towing, it lets you know when your in a daze and pushing it too hard up a pass with cruise on etc.

I can dim headlights pretty good, or have joggers/bikers mad if i'm not paying attention in a higher setting.

Banks limits EGT to 1300. What does the juice?

On a side note, how do you like your clutch, blue? Mine will sometimes slip when pushing 30+ psi and I figure I'll be in the market soon. I've heard good things about south bend clutches.
