Re:stack question

Sharp lookin setup propuller. I got a pair of turn outs. Do the straight cut stacks blow soot on the truck if you leave it sit outside in the weather? I'd like to cut mine off straight but the truck is white.

Re:stack question

Yes they do blow soot.Just be sure the windows are up & the doors are shut before you fire it up or you will have little black spots all over you & your interior that are very hard to get off.kurt.

Re:stack question

Correct me if im wrong, but stacks arent much diff (performance) then a reg exhaust setup, except that its much cooler. I love how they look. Also, what is better, dual or single?
I wonder if i took one off one of our macks, it would work haha.

Re:stack question

Well, I guess I have a wimpy truck cause I have fours and they stick up above the cab. : : To me, the size and the sound are better with the fours but whatever. 8) 8)

Got to the member photos album on page 2 and look under dieseldude4x4's pics and hobbies. There are shots in there from different angles of my wimpy truck. I've seen 5's and 6's and think they are out of proportion but hey, I don't know anything anyway. :

Re:stack question

I agree with dieseldude I like the fours, the sound and they dont look like a little truck with huge stacks. But all jokes aside the person puting them on is the one who has to like them not anyone else. I have one four inch stack, I like it for several reasons, I was the first one around here to try it, It sounds great. Its simple, it gets that heat out from under the truck. But I also like the pensil tips to or whatever you call them straight slash cut?

Re:stack question

I agree that alot of 4's sound great.
I've heard Joel's [Dieseldudes ] truck and it sounds awsome.
But I opted for the 5's
I think the length that they are cut makes a big diff.
Like I've said I'm not knocking the 4's but I think my 5's sound great also.
And there again the length has alot to do with looks to.
I was worried about that alot ,but it worked good for me.

I still can't get my pic on here.
To see mine go to www.kydtr.com and look for my posts.
The screen name is the same.

I also have the 5" and love them. I have heard 4" and they are louder at idle than the 5" Plus with the 5" you get a nice echo at 2200rpms that rattles windows 8) but get the turnouts so it don't rattle your window :
