spooky gauge readings...
spooky gauge readings...
earlier today I blew an intercooler boot just easing into it... pulled over and got it sealed up... noticed that I didn't bottom out the clamp when I originally installed the turbo.
now, the only thing I can come up with is that it must have been leaking for a while... probably shortly after I installed the 4k kit as it's been a friggin' monster since I did that.
6th gear going WOT at 2000rpm...
before fixing the leak: boost = 48psi, drive pressure = 50psi, 1600* at 3000ish
after: boost = 48, drive pressure = 41psi!!!!!!, 1600* at 3600rpm
she's runnin' good!

I used 1/8" copper line from the hardware store. about a 3" coil at the manifold and run all the way to about the brake booster, then a union to nylon line into the cab. works great. sticks every now and then
That is what I was thinking, run the copper on the engine and between the engine/body switch to the nylon for vibration's sake. I would like to see what my DP's are and when I do twins I want to have both manifold's press and intercharger press (three gauges altogether).
