Snapping turbine shafts why?

Better see if you have good oil flow to your turbo. If there has been a previous failure where metal is in the oil, the cooler may be plugged with debris.

I snapped a shaft on a ht3b and i still don't know why it happened everything look good to go when i took it apart and put another one in. maybe oil drain gasket is not lined up or the old one is still on there and in the way.

when you shift or let off from high rpms are you barking the turbo because that will do it for sure.

A larger housing in some cases can help shaft life by reducing transient stress.
